About Me

Professional Experience:

A good question?  I was a professional for many years, student that is ... just ask my frat brothers from Arizona State (Sigma Chi).  But that is a story for another day.  I have lived in Sedona for over 21 years and built relationships in all areas, business and personal.   They are valuable benefits to those who work with me, because I respect and cherish my strong bonds.  A large base of friendships have developed over the years, giving me a large pool of people to draw from when it comes to helping others - thus the resource part comes into play.   I have been in sales for many years, and owned a restaurant in the Village of Oak Creek for 13 of those years (ask a local about the Wild Toucan?).

Why Work With Me?:

It is a blessing to have lived in Sedona this long without being asked to leave town .... ever!!  I coached soccer, softball, and basketball for many years while my own daughter still listened to me, and guess what ..... I'm doing it again with the little leaguers.  Ahh, to be back on the field yelling at kids again - it doesn't get much better than that :)    I maintained a line on the budget for the Humane Society for years of fundraising (and of course still do a lot of animal rescue), and even dabbled in local politics by being on the board of directors for the Chamber of Commerce, and the safety committee for the town as well.  I do my job, I am proud of the person I am, and I have many contacts that enjoy working with me .... therefore, getting the best and most attractive options for my clients.  I have a great portfolio of honest and ethical contractors, mortgage lenders, tradespeople, service providers, etc etc to draw from ... and it helps when you're new to town.   Lets face it, it is always about the relationships - my dad did more with handshakes than contracts.  And they were more solid than any paper could ever be.  That is how I believe business should be done ... on my word.   I dig deep, because I love what I do and I do it with passion.

Outside Interests:

A lot has changed!!   My daughter is finishing her second year of college, boy does time fly.   I'm having trouble with that, but that's what we raise them for.   Right?   The good news is how well she's done, and how happy she is.  I  traveled up to see her in October, and it was one of the best 5 day trips I've ever had.  We hiked to the most outrageous water fall in the Hood River Gorge, and it was amazing.  And of course around Target and the grocery store as well!!  Portland is a cool city, and Oregon makes some excellent Pinot Noirs.
I must admit things have changed a little in the hiking department with my good friend pictured here - she's getting older, I am rehabing from a total knee replacement just 4 weeks ago, and can't cruise the trails with the same ease of yesteryear - that's a sad day for us pet lovers.  Pepper used to take me hiking 2 - 3 times a week, and we have covered a lot of ground in the Verde Valley and all around Arizona, luckily, there's Eddie and Sandy (not shown here), my two goldens.  Sandy is 14, so she's on the same program as Pepper ...... but Eddie - at only 8, he's out of control and needs that rush.   We have to play, run, throw the ball and hike forever.  I also have been mountain biking since my arrival, and I can recreate every painful .... bone jarring ride I have ever done.  And loved every single minute of it !!  Of course that too has slowed a bit, I'm leaving the gnarly stuff for the young bucks now, I've had my day.    I love to camp, snow ski, scuba dive, and, I golf like the PGA ... which stands for "permanently going after" my ball.  The outdoors is my sanctuary, and always has been since my family moved to Arizona in 1967.   The one thing I can't do here, and it's my favorite recreation ... laying on the beach in San Jose del Cabo, but I always come back to the Red Rocks and what they have to offer.  It does just feel better to live in Sedona.
