About Me

Professional Experience:

A good question?  I was a professional student for many years ... just ask my frat brothers from Arizona State (Sigma Chi).  But that is a story for another day.  I have lived in the Sedona area for over 19 years and built relationships in all areas, business and personal.   They are valuable benefits to those who work with me, because I respect and cherish my strong bonds with people.  I have been in sales for many years, and owned a restaurant in the Village of Oak Creek for 13 of those years (ask a local about the Wild Toucan?).  Currently one of my main responsibilities and contributions to Sedona is being a chairman for Jazz on the Rocks.  We had our 25th anniversary event, and it was the best ever becoming Sedona's most recognized festival.  I personally am excited and committed to this acheivement .... a personal sense of pride is important.   And I'm gearing up again, as we speak, for another year.

Why Work With Me?:

It is a blessing to have lived in Sedona this long without being asked to leave town .... ever!!  I coached soccer, softball, and basketball for many years while my own daughter still listened to me.  I maintained a line on the budget for the Humane Society for years of fundraising, and even dabbled in local politics by being on the board of directors for the Chamber of Commerce, and the safety committee for the town as well.  I do my job, I am proud of the person I am, and I have many contacts that enjoy working with me .... therefore, getting the best and most attractive options for my clients.  Lets face it, it is always about the relationships - my dad did more with handshakes than contracts.  And they were more solid than any paper could ever be.  That is how I believe business should be done ... on my word.   I dig deep, because I love what I do and I do it with passion.

Outside Interests:

A lot has changed!!   My daughter is finishing her first year of college at Portland State University.   I'm having trouble with that, but that's what we raise them for.   Right?   I'll be making as many regular dad visits as I'm allowed, and since she has a new snowboard ... and Mt. Hood is very close, it will seem like the winter/spring will get a lot of attention.  Plus, I've really enjoyed going up there .. it's a cool city, and Oregon makes some excellent Pinot Noirs.  Looks like she'll be staying for the summer as well, so we'll have to coordinate our real estate showings carefully.
As you can see from the picture of me with my hiking partner, that won't change from normal activity -  I am motivated to get on the trails.  Pepper takes me hiking 2 - 3 times a week, and we have covered a lot of ground in the Verde Valley and all around Arizona.  I also have been mountain biking since my arrival, and I can recreate every painful .... bone jarring ride I have ever done.  And loved every single minute of it !!    I love to camp, snow ski, scuba dive, and, I golf like a professional ... a professional hockey player, that is.  The outdoors is my sanctuary, and always has been since my family moved to Arizona in 1967.   The one thing I don't do here, and it's my favorite recreation ... laying on the beach in San Jose del Cabo, but I always come back to the Red Rocks and what they have to offer.  It does just feel better to live in Sedona.
